The ArchWeigh SC provides excellent in-motion accuracy in an affordable package.
The ArchWeigh HP offers ±½% accuracy using factory balanced and leveled construction with machined idler rolls.
To be accurate, any in-motion weighing system must be able to compensate for the force generated by the radial motion of the idler. This force is the result of the movement of the material passing over the scale, not the weight of the material itself. If it isn't compensated for, it will be interpreted by the scale as additional material, resulting in an error in the weight the scale reports. Some manufacturers try to minimize the effects of these forces by calibrating the scale while the belt is running, so the force is factored into the scale's setup. However, as components within the conveyor wear, the force on the scale changes, making frequent recalibration necessary.
The ArchWeigh is a unique solution to this problem. Instead of compensating for the external force imposed on the scale, the ArchWeigh's dual-ended load cells accurately measure this force, and eliminate it from the weight measurement. The result is a more accurate weight measurement, without the need for constant recalibration.
ArchWeigh load cells are designed specifically for use on conveyor scales, and are the only load cells to be patented since 1970. The load cell's unique design allows it to use a positive/negative response to account for normal conveyor variances.
